Directions from Cincinnati:

• Take I-75 South to Exit 62, Mt Vernon Exit

  • KY 461 & US-25

• Turn Right on 461/25

• Continue straight on 461/25 until it Tees into KY-80

• Turn Right on KY-80

  • Continue on KY-80 to the new bypass, KY-914

• Turn LEFT on KY-914

  • Continue on KY-914 until it Tees into KY-27

• Turn LEFT on US-27 

• Follow "Directions from Somerset", below

Directions From Somerset

• Take US-27 south to KY-90. 

• Turn right on to KY-90 toward Monticello.

• Follow KY-90 west past Monticello.

• About 8 miles past Monticello turn south (left) on to KY-1009. (Should you get to US-127, you went to far.)

• Follow 1009 south to KY-200. 

  At KY-200 KY-1009 jogs left across Otter Creek. Continue south on KY-1009.
  
  KY-1009 roughly parallels Otter Creek. Continue south. State maintenance ends. Continue south past a fishing pond on the left. Continue south. Pavement will end. Stop at the left gate, open gate, drive through, close gate, and continue south. Watch for signs. Road will follow the dry Redmond Creek streambed. Continue south past barn and watch for cavers. 

  The streambed is navigable by your average passenger car, with care!

Alternate Route to the site (From Somerset. starting from US-27)

• Turn RIGHT on KY-90 (over the "lake")

  • Continue on KY-90 until Monticello

  • (16.4 miles)

• Turn LEFT on KY-1275/Business-90

  • Continue through downtown Monticello.

  • (2.5 miles)

• Turn LEFT on KY-167 where KY-1275 bears right

  • (1.8 miles)

• Turn RIGHT onto KY-200

  • You'll stay on KY-200 for about 11 miles

• Turn LEFT onto KY-1009

  • Continue on KY-1009 past the end of state maintenance, past the end of road

  • When you come to the gates, take the gate on the LEFT

  • When you come to another gate, bear right into the stream bed

  • Continue on the stream bed past the barn

  • When the trail splits, bear right up the hill onto the field.

  • Camping will be in marked sections in the field.
